OFFENSE

QUARTERBACKS

· Jarrett Patman 5-10, 170-lb. Junior

· Tom Reilly 5-9, 180-lb. Sophomore

· Kendall Jones 5-10, 165-lb. Sophomore

THE SKINNY:

Jarrett Patman was a 2-way starter last year at corner and running back. He also played two games at quarterback. Has great speed, throws the ball very well and is an All-Catholic pitcher in baseball. The Eagles expect him to utilize all the experience he has gained playing both sports at the varsity level for the last two years. Jarrett has handled the offense very well through the summer and the preseason.

The Skinny:

Joe Ruggiero and Andrew Linder are both returning starters who combined for over 1400 yards rushing last season. Vince Dubzak and Kyree Bronson are sophomores who have been showing great abilities to handle the Z back position. This group should be one of the strong points of the team.

WIDE RECEIVERS

· Jordan Burney 6-3, 185-lb. Senior WR/DE

· Danny Green 6-foot, 160-lb. Sophomore WR/LB

· Nick Henry 5-11, 145-lb. Junior WR/DB

The Skinny:

Burney is a 3-year starter who has worked extremely hard in the offseason on his receiving skills. He will provide a go-to receiver for Patman and Reilly. Green and Henry have been very good in the summer and preseason and will fill in well at the wide receiver position.

TIGHT ENDS

· Wyatt McLeod 6-1, 225-lb. Senior – Captain

· Sidney Abolo 6-2, 185-lb. Junior

· Brandon Cohen 5-9, 185-lb. Sophomore

McLeod is a 3-year starter who is a returning First Team All-Catholic at TE. He led the league in catches by a tight end last year and provides great leadership and toughness. Abolo and Cohen will fill in nicely in the 2-tight end set. Both show ability to catch and block well at the position.

OFFENSIVE LINE

· Dylan Loveless 6-7, 260-lb. Senior

· Eric Musser 6-3, 205-lb. Junior

· Blake Morgan 6-5, 265-lb. Sophomore

· Keenan Baines 6-3, 285-lb. Sophomore

· Jake Meller 5-8, 225-lb. Junior

The Skinny:

This group has worked extremely hard in the weight room and on the field to come together as a result. The leadership of Cooper and Loveless for the younger guys has really established the group as an area of the team that the coaching staff feels will be a keystone to the Eagles’ success. Cooper and Loveless are attracting interest from a number of colleges.

The Skinny:

McLeod has moved from his starting position at defensive end to anchor the defense as middle linebacker. Ruggiero is a returning Second Team All-Catholic linebacker. These two will lead a defense that is consisting of a mix of senior leadership and underclassmen with a lot of varsity experience. The group is expected to be fast and physical.

The Skinny:

Linder is the leader of the secondary and provides all the attributes one would want from a strong safety. Patman, Dubzak and Bronson should prove to be lockdown corners. Taylor will handle the free safety position for the second year and has shown great ability to break on the ball.

The Skinny:

Baines and Morgan started last year as freshman. The experience they gained at that young age should prove to be invaluable this season. Burney and Musser provide strength and quickness at eh defensive end position.

KICKING GAME:

· Nick Dykes 6-foot, 185-lb. Junior kicker and punter

· Matt Traber 6-2, 175-lb. Sophomore punter

The Skinny:

Both kickers are first-year football players. If they can get some confidence early on, they should prove to be a positive asset for Egan.
